Our Founding Friendship and Entrepreneurial Vision
KNORI Capital was born from a decade-long friendship between colleagues with a shared passion for entrepreneurship that began at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Inspired by our collaborations and experiences supporting entrepreneurs across the nation, we have united our complementary attributes to acquire and grow a successful business.

JIM RILEY
PARTNER
Jim Riley
Partner
Before diving into the world of business, Jim was a collegiate football player and trained engineer - two experiences that shaped how he approaches challenges: head-on, with grit and a thoughtful game plan. He brings a mix of technical know-how and creative problem-solving to the table, and has spent the past several years helping small and mid-sized businesses navigate change and unlock growth. Jim is excited to roll up his sleeves, join a committed team, and be part of building something exceptional!
Jim lives in the Chicagoland area with his wife, where he prefers workouts that don’t involve cardio. On Sundays, you’ll find him reluctantly rooting for the Bears because loyalty runs deep, even when the scoreboard doesn’t.
He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BS in engineering from Purdue University. Jim began his career as an engineer and has also worked in consulting and private equity.
