KNORI Capital was born from a decade-long friendship between colleagues with a shared passion for entrepreneurship that began at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Inspired by our collaborations and experiences supporting entrepreneurs across the nation, we have united our complementary attributes to acquire and grow a successful business.

Jim Riley
Partner
Jim is a former collegiate football player and engineer with experience in private equity and consulting. Most recently, Jim worked at a global private equity firm, Ten Oaks Group, where he was an operating partner of a $200M portfolio company, as well as worked on the TOG transaction execution team. Prior to Ten Oaks, Jim worked as a middle market M&A consultant supporting private equity portfolio companies through the full lifecycle of M&A transaction activities, as well as providing post-acquisition support for operating efficiencies. Jim began his career in sales and engineering at a chemical processing and manufacturing company.
He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University.

Tim Knowles

Tim is a former investment banker with experience in sales, finance, and corporate strategy. Most recently, Tim worked in the financial services industry for Houlihan Lokey and BMO Capital Markets, where he was an M&A investment banker and Strategy & Operations lead. He was a deal team member on numerous transactions with an aggregate value of over $2B. Tim began his career in sales and marketing at a global telecommunications firm.
He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh.
